As the Philippines marks the 125th anniversary of its Independence, the excitement in the air is palpable. The 100-day countdown for the 125th Anniversary Independence Day in Kawit has officially begun at the Emilio Aguinaldo Shrine in Kawit, Cavite. I was privileged to attend the kickoff event with the Cavite Content Creators.

It’s great that the event brought together a diverse group of Cavite-based content creators passionate about sharing their experiences and perspectives about Cavite and the Philippines. Each of these individuals has a unique style and approach to content creation, which adds to the richness and diversity of the content landscape in the region.

These content creators were invited to participate in the media conference, where they could ask questions related to the 125th anniversary of the Philippine Independence Kawit. As local media representatives, they had the chance to learn more about the event’s significance and the efforts made to commemorate this momentous occasion in Philippine history.

During the media conference, the content creators asked questions. The answers the event organizers and government officials provided gave them a better understanding of this event and its significance to the local community.

The Emilio Aguinaldo Shrine is an important historical site where General Emilio Aguinaldo declared the country’s Independence from Spain on June 12, 1898. It’s a place that symbolizes the struggles and sacrifices of our forefathers, who fought for the country’s freedom.

The kickoff event celebrated our country’s history and culture with fun and exciting activities. The event featured a cultural presentation, a wreath-laying ceremony, a flag-raising ceremony, and a fireworks display.

The arrival of the Guest of Honor, Mayor Angelo Emilio G. Aguinaldo of Kawit, Cavite, Dr. Emmanuel F. Calairo, Chairman of the National Historical Commission of the Philippines, and Kalihim Amenah F. The Songs for the People and the parade featuring Banda Matanda de San Francisco Malabon, national government agencies’ flags, participating local government units, the Bughaw Folkloric Dance Group, and the national flag. Also, it displayed our country’s unity and diversity, reminding us that we are one nation, despite our differences.

In addition, the 100-day Kickoff of the 125th Anniversary of Philippine Independence and Nationhood 2023-2026 was then launched. Followed by the unveiling of the theme song, Samu’t Saring Iisa, by Kent Charcos.
