About LinkedIn Local Cavite
#LinkedInLocal is LinkedIn’s longest running campaign founded on the ideals of authenticity, respect, and collaboration. They believe in face-to-face connection and a world beyond online profiles. They aim to strengthen online communities offline through meaningful interactions. They are also believers of collaboration over competition.
LinkedIn Local started in April 2017 by Anna McAfee in Australia. She initiated the meetup through a post asking her LinkedIn connections to meet for coffee in her city using the hashtag #linkedinlocal and the rest is history. The first LinkedIn Local in the Philippines happened in late 2017 in Pampanga hosted by Virginia Bautista, who is a LinkedIn trainer, consultant, speaker, and LinkedIn evangelist. Followed by LinkedIn Local meetups/events in Manila hosted by Kassy Pajarillo. Fast forward, Jane Martinito started the LinkedIn Local Cavite in September 2018. She became passionate about LinkedIn since 2017 through the influence and mentorship of Virginia Bautista. As her way of returning the favor to the community, she dedicated herself on organizing free to low-cost meetups and events through LinkedIn Local. Join her to spread the message and value of how LinkedIn will work for every professionals, entrepreneurs and even university students in Cavite.
